The BiPAC 7402VGP supports 'lifeline telephony' with one additional FXO port to ensure traditional phone calls can always be made via PSTN when there is a power outage or the Internet connection is down. It also allows users to receive incoming calls from PSTN. Complied with the most popular industry-standard SIP protocol, the router lets users make cost-saving and high quality phone calls over the Internet by connecting the router to existing phone lines.

Users can also share a high-speed Internet access with advanced ADSL2/2+ capability through a firmware upgrade . The ADSL2+ standard supports download rate up to 24 Mbps and upload rate up to 1 Mbps . BiPAC 7402VGL and BiPAC 7402VGP support 54Mbps 802.11g wireless capabilities with Wireless Protected Access (WPA) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) security features for data protection. Advanced f irewall features such as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) prevention, and Parental Control are also integrated to provide users unparalleled protection. Quality of Service (QoS) features enables users to control and prioritize the use of bandwidth for smooth voice and video transmission without surfing the Net at a crawl speed. In addition, the built-in IGMP snooping feature is also available to provide video service.

In addition to the new series of VoIP routers, Billion showcases two new 802.11g ADSL2+ Routers – BiPAC 5102G and BiPAC 7202G . They are integrated with 802.11g Wireless AP for home and SOHO users to enjoy the mobility to place PC devices anywhere they want to go online. Users can easily install and manage the network settings like firmware upgrade via the w eb-based GUI. BiPAC 7202G supports QoS control to give users full control over the outgoing data traffic. Priority can be given by the router to ensure important data like file transfer passing through the router efficiently. U sers can benefit smooth net connection of inbound and outbound data even while the Internet connection is under heavy load. BiPAC 7202G is even more ideal for advanced or SOHO users.
