BILLION launches its newly designed range of Dual-WAN 3G/ADSL2+ Router with USB 2.0 port for 3G back up – BiPAC 7402X series

Billion Electric Co., Ltd. (Taiex: #3027) a major international network equipment and solution provider, announces its new 3G/ADSL2+ Router series, BiPAC 7402X – 3G/ADSL2+ VPN Firewall Router and BiPAC 7402GX – 3G/ADSL2+ Wireless VPN Firewall Router, to cater to the demand for the next generation 3G communications market. The BiPAC 7402X Dual-WAN 3G/ADSL2+ Router series boasts a dual-WAN router function that enables you to connect a 3G/HSDPA USB modem to its built-in USB port, allowing ISPs to offer a 3G/HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, or GSM Internet connection, making downstream rates of up to 14.4Mbps possible. With the dual-WAN capability, the BiPAC 7402X series supports Auto Fail-over features assuring you of a constant Internet connection. If your ADSL line fails, the BiPAC 7402X series will connect via 3G to deliver uninterrupted connectivity. The BiPAC 7402X series also supports embedded IPSec VPN (Virtual Private Network) protocols for secure VPN connection. In addition, the casing is designed to cater for both the office environment and the digital home. You can even share your Internet connection with others, if you're in a briefing at a meeting room, a customer’s site, exhibition or event, or while you’re on the road, even using VPN connections to access the corporate intranet from remote sites. Billion launched the BiPAC 7300GX 3G/ADSL2+ Wireless Router previously in 2007 with a built-in PC Card slot for inserting a 3G/HSDPA PC card. Since then, the product has received positive feedback and has won many industry awards. This product allows home users, SOHO and business travelers to enjoy the freedom of secure, high-speed Internet connectivity using 3G PC Card technology. In response to the growing demand for 3G backup support, BILLION has now launched the brand new BiPAC 7402X Dual-WAN 3G/ADSL2+ Router series with a USB port for 3G-based Internet connection.

With the integrated Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) function, the BiPAC 7402GX – 3G/ADSL2+ Wireless VPN Firewall Router lets users set up a secure wireless environment and easy access with data encryption very quickly by simply pressing the WPS button. Wireless Protected Access (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) support ensures high-level data protection and WLAN access control.

The BiPAC 7402X series also includes rich firewall security features such as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention and URL content filtering to provide unparalleled protection for Internet access. Furthermore, the BiPAC 7402X series supports embedded IPSec VPN (Virtual Private Network) protocols, allowing users to establish encrypted private connections of up to 16 simultaneous tunnels over the Internet. With a built-in DES/3DES VPN accelerator, the router enhances IPSec VPN performance significantly and ensures that data is transmitted securely between two or more sites for SOHO and office users.

In addition, users can manage bandwidth and prioritize data transfer effectively with the Quality of Service (QoS) feature which gives full control over traffic of any data type. Thus, important data and bandwidth-consuming applications such as video conferencing, customer information or FTP sharing, can move through the router at lightning speed, even when there is a heavy load. The speed for inbound and outbound data passed through the router can be controlled to ensure that users do not saturate the bandwidth with their browsing activities.
